Key objectives include extensive tree planting, restoration of degraded forest lands, and expanding clean energy access to reduce reliance on traditional fuels.

The program also prioritizes improved waste management, promotion of carbon trading, and increased involvement of youth and women in green economy projects. With an estimated cost of 7 trillion Tanzanian Shillings, funding will be a collaborative effort involving the government, private sector, civil society, and international development partners.
