Dr Samia invites Russian investors to tap into Tanzania’s vast mineral wealth

Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has extended an invitation to Russian investors, encouraging them to explore the nation's rich mineral resources. Speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, President Hassan highlighted Tanzania's significant deposits of minerals crucial for modern technology and green energy, including uranium, nickel, graphite, helium, and rare earth elements. The government's strategy emphasizes moving beyond raw material exports towards developing local industries for value addition and the production of finished goods. This approach aims to maximize economic benefits for Tanzanians through industrial development and mineral processing.
