Teknologi WtE proses sisa jadi sumber tenaga bernilai negara
Malaysia is exploring waste-to-energy (WtE) technology as a sustainable solution to its growing solid waste problem and energy needs. The nation generates approximately 40,000 tons of solid waste daily, a figure projected to increase. This waste, previously seen as a burden, is now recognized as a strategic national asset that can be converted into valuable energy resources. WtE processes utilize modern methods, broadly categorized into thermal (like controlled incineration) and non-thermal (biological or mechanical) approaches, to generate electricity.
This initiative is crucial for Malaysia to enhance energy security, reduce reliance on landfills, and support its renewable energy and circular economy goals.
