Formula 1 returns to the historic Monaco Grand Prix, the sixth race of the season, on its iconic 3.337-kilometer street circuit. For Charles Leclerc, the Monegasque driver for Ferrari, racing in his hometown has been a rollercoaster of emotions since his debut in 2018. He has experienced significant setbacks, including a frightening crash in 2018 due to brake failure and a heartbreaking withdrawal in 2021 after damaging his car in qualifying and discovering a gearbox issue before the race start. In 2022, despite securing pole position again, a strategic error by his team during a wet race cost him valuable time, ultimately dropping him to fourth place.
The Monaco Grand Prix holds particular significance for Charles Leclerc as it is his home race, marked by both triumphs and significant challenges throughout his Formula 1 career.
