You can file road accident reports on WhatsApp in Latvia
The fastest and easiest way to report an accident with no injuries and involving only two cars is to file a joint accident report. This can be done very conveniently on the "WhatsApp" platform, as noted by traffic expert Oskars Irbītis and Agris Daukste, head of the Information Technology (IT) department at the Latvian Motor Insurers’ Bureau, on the Latvian Radio programme "How to Live Better."
Latvia has introduced a new, streamlined process for reporting minor road accidents. Drivers involved in incidents with no injuries and only two vehicles can now file a joint accident report directly through the WhatsApp messaging application. This initiative aims to simplify and expedite the reporting procedure for such cases. The convenience of this digital method was highlighted by traffic expert Oskars Irbītis and Agris Daukste, head of the IT department at the Latvian Motor Insurers’ Bureau.
