[Vanguard] Former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Olabode George, on Friday, told the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, to direct his advice on how to end terrorism in Nigeria to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Tinubu, and not to Service Chiefs.

A prominent figure in Nigeria's opposition party, Chief Olabode George, has criticized the advice given by Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God regarding the nation's security challenges. George argued that Adeboye's ultimatum for security chiefs to end terrorism within 90 days or resign should have been directed at President Bola Tinubu, the Commander-in-Chief. He emphasized that ultimate responsibility for national security rests with the President, who appointed the service chiefs and has the authority to direct or dismiss them. George, a retired military general, expressed frustration with the current security situation, describing it as "arrant nonsense" and "absolute lunacy."

This situation highlights a public debate about accountability and strategy in addressing Nigeria's persistent insecurity, involving religious leaders, political figures, and the military hierarchy.
