जल्द आएगी NCERT की 8वीं की सोशल साइंस की बुक, SC ने लगाया था बैन

NCERT's 8th-grade Social Science textbook, "Exploring Society: India and Beyond," is set to be re-released in a revised edition by the third week of June 2026. The book was previously banned by the Supreme Court in February 2026 due to objectionable content in Chapter 4, which discussed corruption in the judiciary and case backlogs. NCERT had recalled the book and issued an unconditional apology after the court ordered the seizure of all physical and digital copies.

A special review committee was formed to address the court's concerns. The updated version has removed all references to judicial corruption and related issues that were flagged by the Supreme Court. The revised draft has received internal approval and has been sent for printing.

This revised textbook aims to comply with judicial directives and ensure educational materials accurately reflect sensitive topics without controversy.
