বৃষ্টি ঝরানো মৌসুমি বায়ু প্রবেশ করেছে বাংলাদেশে। আজ শনিবার দেশের দক্ষিণ-পূর্বাঞ্চলের টেকনাফ এলাকা দিয়েই এ বায়ু এসেছে। এবার স্বাভাবিক সময়ের প্রায় এক সপ্তাহ পর এর প্রবেশ ঘটল। তবে এ বায়ু আসা মানেই দেশজুড়ে বৃষ্টি হবে, এমন নয়। নতুন এই বায়ুকে লড়তে হবে এখন সক্রিয় পশ্চিমা লঘুচাপের সঙ্গে। তাতে করে বরং কয়েক দিন বৃষ্টি কমে যেতে পারে। এখন যে বৃষ্টি হচ্ছে, তা কিন্তু ওই পশ্চিমা লঘুচাপের কারণেই। দেশজুড়ে মৌসুমি বায়ু সক্রিয় হতে সপ্তাহখানেকের অপেক্ষা করতে হবে। তবে চলতি বছর এই বর্ষা মৌসুমেও বৃ
Monsoon winds have entered Bangladesh through the southeastern Teknaf region, approximately a week later than usual. While this marks the arrival of the monsoon, widespread rainfall across the country is not immediate. The new monsoon winds will contend with an active western low-pressure system, which may temporarily reduce rainfall for several days. The current rainfall is attributed to this western disturbance.
Widespread monsoon activity is expected to take hold across the nation by mid-June. However, meteorological agencies have cautioned that this year's monsoon season might experience below-normal rainfall, partly due to the influence of the El Niño phenomenon.
The delayed onset and potential for reduced rainfall could impact agriculture, water resources, and overall weather patterns during the crucial monsoon season.
