The Institute of Public Health has launched a new psychological counseling center dedicated to children and adolescents. This facility, the first of its kind in the country, will offer professional support to young individuals, their parents, and teachers. Services will be accessible through referrals from general practitioners via the "Moj Termin" system, integrating mental health care into the public health framework.
The center aims to assist with emotional, familial, and academic challenges, providing guidance for problem-solving and fostering emotional development and communication skills. Additionally, the Institute has introduced a new air radioactivity monitoring station and expanded its laboratory services to include analyses previously unavailable in public healthcare, making them accessible to citizens without the financial means for private labs.
This initiative expands access to crucial mental health services for young people within the public healthcare system, addressing a significant societal need.
