টেকনাফে নারী–শিশুসহ ৫০ জনকে উদ্ধার, গ্রেপ্তার ৯ পাচারকারী

Bangladesh Coast Guard successfully rescued 50 individuals, including women and children, from a fishing trawler off the coast of Teknaf. The group, comprising 39 Bangladeshi citizens and 11 Rohingya refugees, was being trafficked towards Malaysia. During the operation, nine suspected human traffickers were apprehended by the Coast Guard.

Acting on a tip-off, Coast Guard members intensified surveillance and intercepted a suspicious trawler attempting to flee. A subsequent search of the vessel led to the discovery of the victims and the arrest of the perpetrators. The arrested individuals have been handed over to the Teknaf Model Police Station to face legal charges.

This incident highlights the ongoing human trafficking operations along the coast and the efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat them.
