Heat, not disease, caused deaths of 8 lion cubs in Gir forest

Heatstroke is believed to be the cause of death for eight lion cubs in India's Gir Forest. The cubs were among a group of 17 lions exhibiting symptoms of illness, prompting their quarantine and treatment. Twelve of these lions have since been cleared and returned to the wild, with five more expected to follow shortly.
