Amazan relembra infância na roça e início da carreira no forró

Paraibano singer Amazan recently shared details about his challenging childhood and early musical journey during a São João special. Growing up in poverty, he began working at a young age to support his family, engaging in agricultural labor and selling firewood and water. His artistic name, "Amazan," initially rejected during his late registration, eventually became synonymous with his successful forró career.

The singer also recounted how his mother's support was instrumental in his musical development, facilitating his acquisition of an accordion. This early exposure to the instrument not only fueled his passion for forró but also led him to develop repair skills, which later contributed to him establishing a sanfona factory. His transition to a professional musician involved performing in local bars and joining the cultural group "Tropeiros da Borborema," a move he described as his "artistic salvation."
