The state scored an average of 51.5 points, falling below the regional average of 55.5 points across 772 municipalities. This performance highlights significant challenges in reducing poverty, expanding public services, and improving infrastructure, which are crucial for meeting the UN's 2030 Agenda targets. Despite Manaus ranking as one of the best-performing municipalities, the state exhibits substantial internal disparities, with remote areas facing considerable difficulties in basic infrastructure and economic opportunities.
This finding is significant as it underscores the deep regional inequalities within Amazonas, impacting the state's ability to achieve national and international sustainable development objectives.
