Χαρακτηριστικό είναι το παράδειγμα του Βύρωνα, όπου ένα διαμέρισμα 93 τ.μ. στον 4ο όροφο, χωρίς ανακαίνιση και χωρίς πάρκινγκ, κοστίζει 230.000 ευρώ – δηλαδή περίπου 2.500 ευρώ ανά τετραγων

The cost of even older, unrenovated apartments in areas like Vyronas can exceed 2,500 euros per square meter, with newer properties in prime locations costing significantly more. This dramatic price increase means many young adults remain living with their parents well into their thirties, unable to afford their own homes.
Data indicates that over half of properties for sale are priced above 200,000 euros, a prohibitive sum for the majority given stagnant wages. While demand favors smaller units, a large proportion of available rental properties, particularly in major cities, are larger than 120 square meters.
The escalating cost of housing, outpacing income growth, creates a significant affordability crisis that impacts a large segment of the population and raises concerns about social equity and economic stability.
