Van da Prefeitura de Porciúncula roubada com pacientes é achada em desmanche clandestino no RJ

A van belonging to the Porciúncula City Hall, which was transporting patients to medical appointments, has been recovered by Civil Police. The vehicle was stolen early Monday morning by two individuals on a motorcycle, one of whom was armed. During the incident, the driver attempted to evade the assailants but was forced to surrender the van under threat. Five patients were inside the van at the time of the robbery, but thankfully, no one was harmed. The van was found dismantled in a clandestine chop shop in Duque de Caxias as part of "Operação Torniquete," an operation targeting vehicle theft and trafficking. Eight suspects were arrested at the scene, where two other vans and numerous auto parts were also discovered.

The recovery of the stolen municipal van highlights ongoing efforts to combat vehicle theft and ensures the resumption of essential transportation services for patients in Porciúncula.
