Avinash Basnet has been elected as the chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in Sindhuli. The election was held after consensus could not be reached on the positions of chairman and other officials. Basnet secured 181 votes in the election held on Saturday, defeating his closest competitor, Vrik Bahadur Bamjan (Ashok), who received 88 votes.
