Datuk Mohd Jamil Md. Idross, a former Deputy Speaker of the Kedah State Legislative Assembly and ex-assemblyman for Pengkalan Kundur, has been found drowned. The 78-year-old was discovered in Sungai Teluk Bagan on the morning of the incident. He had served as the assemblyman for two terms, from 1995 to 1999.
