Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly expanding globally, bringing both opportunities and significant risks. To address these concerns, the Bangladesh chapter of the US-based non-profit AI Collective organized a rally in Dhaka as part of the worldwide 'Human in AI Week'. Participants emphasized the need for public awareness regarding AI's misuse, particularly in cybercrimes like phishing and financial fraud. They also highlighted the detrimental impact of unchecked AI use on students' critical thinking and creativity, urging universities to adopt more practical evaluation methods. The rally aimed to promote AI's beneficial applications while fostering trust and ensuring human control over the technology.

Raising public awareness is crucial to prevent the misuse of AI, protect individuals from cyber threats, and ensure the technology serves humanity's best interests.
