This increase is occurring as tick populations continue to grow throughout the continent. While TBE remains uncommon in Belgium, medical experts are closely monitoring its development and spread.
The growing prevalence of TBE highlights the increasing risk of tick-borne diseases and the importance of public awareness and preventative measures.
