The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP), through SME Corp Malaysia, has launched the Program SINAR to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) facing economic uncertainty. This initiative offers RM205 million in financial aid across four new programs designed to foster business growth and sustainability. The program aims to ensure entrepreneurs have access to necessary financing and support to overcome challenges, expand their operations, and create employment opportunities. SINAR includes three financing programs with amounts up to RM5 million at competitive profit rates, in collaboration with MIDF, microLEAP PLT, and Funding Societies. Additionally, an Inclusive Business Scaling Program provides grants of up to 90% for capacity building, focusing on integrating inclusive communities into supply chains and enhancing MSME skills for higher-level business transformation.
This program is crucial for bolstering the resilience and growth of MSMEs, which are vital to the national economy, especially amidst global economic instability.
