পল্লবীতে শিশুধর্ষণ-হত্যা: স্বামী-স্ত্রীর মৃত্যুদণ্ড
রাজধানীর পল্লবীতে আট বছরের শিশুকে ধর্ষণের পর নৃশংসভাবে হত্যার ঘটনার ১৯ দিনের মাথায় রায় ঘোষণা করলেন আদালত। রায়ে আসামি সোহেল রানা ও তাঁর স্ত্রী স্বপ্না আক্তারকে মৃত্যুদণ্ড দেন আদালত। আজ রোববার বেলা ১১টায় ঢাকা মহানগর শিশু সহিংসতা দমন ট্রাইব্যুনালের বিচারক মাসরুর সালেকীন এজলাসে আসেন। এরপর তিনি এই মামলার রায় পড়া শুরু করেন। বেলা ১১টা ৪০ মিনিটে রায় ঘোষণা করেন।
A Dhaka court has sentenced a husband and wife to death for the brutal rape and murder of an eight-year-old child in Pallabi. The verdict was delivered just 19 days after the heinous crime occurred. The judge of the Dhaka Metropolitan Special Tribunal for the Prevention of Violence Against Children announced the death penalty for the accused, Sohel Rana and his wife Swapna Akhter, on Sunday morning.
