ওয়ারীতে ৫৭ ভরি স্বর্ণালংকার লুটের ঘটনায় নয়জন গ্রেপ্তার: পুলিশ

Police in Dhaka's Wari area have apprehended nine individuals suspected of being part of an inter-district robbery ring. The arrests follow the daylight robbery of a jeweler, where 57 bhori (approximately 665 grams) of gold ornaments and cash were stolen. During the operation, authorities recovered 17 bhori of the stolen gold, Tk 6.8 lakh from the sale of gold, and the vehicle used in the crime. The suspects allegedly impersonated DB police officers to carry out the heist, forcing the victims into a microbus and robbing them under threat. Subsequent investigations, including CCTV analysis, led to the initial arrest of six members preparing for another robbery, with three more apprehended later. Another case has been filed against the group for planning further robberies.
