김민석 총리 “투표용지 부족 사태, 선관위 고위직 다 물러날 사안”
김민석 국무총리가 7일 6·3 지방선거 선거관리위원회 투표용지 부족 사태와 관련해 “선관위의 일정한 고위직에 있는 사람들은 다 물러나야 할 사안이라고 생각한다”라고 밝혔다. 김 총리는 이날 전·현직 대학교 총학생회장 대표단과 함께 ‘투표용지 부족 관련 간담회’를 약 1시간 정도 진행한 자리에서 이렇게 말했다. 간담회에 참석한 대표단은 선관위 투표용지 부족 사태와 관련해 정부에 철저한 선관위 조사와 선관위 쇄신 및 제도 개선 등을 요구했다. 이에 김 총리는 “개인적으로 국정조사를 하는 게 좋다고 보는데 여야 간 합의가 필요하고, 또 특검이 된다면 그에 맞는 법적·행정적 책임을 물으면 된다고 생각한다”라며 “그 밑작업을 하기 위해서 우선 할 수 있는 경찰 수사를 하라고 이미 이야기했다”라고 답했다. 일각의 재선거 요구에 대해서는 “법원이 결정하는 과정을 거쳐서 재선거하게 되는 것으로 알고 있다”면서 “당선자는 결정되어 있는 상태인데, 그럴 때 재선거를 하는 게 타당한지 또는 거기서의 당선자 쪽이 재선거를 받아들일지 그건 또 별도의 문제인 것 같다”라고 말했다.
