সংসদের বাজেট অধিবেশন শুরু

The second session of the 13th National Parliament, which is the 2026 budget session, has commenced. Presided over by Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, the proceedings began this Sunday afternoon. This marks the current parliament's inaugural budget session. Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury is scheduled to present the national budget for the fiscal year 2026-27 in the National Parliament on June 11th. This budget will be the first presented by Prime Minister Tareq Rahman's administration. During the session's opening, the Speaker nominated members to the panel of chairpersons, including Selima Rahman, Osman Faruk, Zainul Abedin, Mo Shahjahan, and Shahjahan Chowdhury, who will preside in the absence of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker.

This event signifies the initiation of the government's fiscal planning for the upcoming year and sets the stage for parliamentary debate on national economic priorities.
