চট্টগ্রামে শুঁটকির বাজার
পবিত্র ঈদুল আজহার ছুটি শেষে জমে উঠেছে চট্টগ্রামের আছাদগঞ্জের শুঁটকির বাজারের বেচাকেনা। উপকূলের বিভিন্ন এলাকা থেকে আছাদগঞ্জ, খাতুনগঞ্জ ও চাক্তাইয়ের দোকানগুলোয় বিক্রির জন্য শুঁটকি আনা হয়। ব্যবসায়ীরা জানালেন, এখন শুঁটকির ভরা মৌসুম না হলেও ঈদের পর তাঁদের বেচাকেনা বেড়েছে। বেশি বিক্রি হচ্ছে কুচো চিংড়ি বা ‘ইচা’ মাছের শুঁটকি। ছবিগুলো সম্প্রতি তোলা। সারি সারি মাটির পাত্রে রাখা হয়েছে শুঁটকি শুঁটকি বের করছেন একজন দোকানে রাখা শুঁটকি যাচাই করে দেখছেন ক্রেতা প্লাস্টিকের ড্রামে লবণ দিয়ে রাখ
The dried fish market in Chittagong's Asadganj has seen a surge in sales following the Eid-ul-Azha holidays. Merchants receive dried fish from various coastal regions for sale in Asadganj, Khatunganj, and Chaktai. Although it is not the peak season for dried fish, sales have increased significantly after Eid. Small shrimp, known locally as 'Icha' fish, are currently the most popular item. The market displays dried fish in clay pots, plastic drums with salt, and laid out to dry in the sun.
The increased activity in the dried fish market indicates a post-holiday consumer demand and highlights the economic importance of this traditional trade in the region.
