নোয়াখালীতে বিএনপি-আওয়ামী লীগ সংঘর্ষের পর ওসি প্রত্যাহার
নোয়াখালীতে বিএনপি ও কার্যক্রম নিষিদ্ধ আওয়ামী লীগের নেতা-কর্মীদের মধ্যে পাল্টাপাল্টি হামলা ও সংঘর্ষের পর সুধারাম থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) তৌহিদুল ইসলামকে প্রত্যাহার (ক্লোজড) করা হয়েছে। গতকাল শনিবার রাতে জেলা পুলিশ সুপার টি এম মোশারফ হোসেনের নির্দেশে তাঁকে প্রত্যাহার করে পুলিশ লাইনসে সংযুক্ত করা হয়। তৌহিদুল ইসলামকে প্রত্যাহারের পর সুধারাম থানার ওসির দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হয়েছে মোহাম্মদ কামরুল ইসলামকে। তিনি ফেনীর সোনাগাজী থানার ওসি ছিলেন। গতকাল রাতেই তিনি সুধারাম থানায় যোগ দিয়েছ
Following clashes between supporters of the banned Awami League and the BNP in Noakhali, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sudharam Police Station, Touhidul Islam, has been transferred. The transfer, effective Saturday night, places Mohammad Kamrul Islam, formerly of Sonagazi Police Station, in charge of Sudharam. The clashes reportedly began after a protest by the banned student wing of the Awami League, which was met with counter-demonstrations by the BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami. The confrontations escalated, leading to property damage, including motorcycles being vandalized and set ablaze, and party offices being torched. Several individuals sustained injuries during the altercations.
