পল্লবীতে শিশুকে ধর্ষণ ও হত্যার রায়ে সন্তুষ্ট আসামিপক্ষ–রাষ্ট্রপক্ষ উভয়েই
রাজধানীর মিরপুরের পল্লবীতে আট বছরের শিশুকে ধর্ষণের পর নৃশংসভাবে হত্যার ঘটনায় আসামি সোহেল রানা আর তাঁর স্ত্রী স্বপ্না আক্তারের মৃত্যুদণ্ডের রায়ে সন্তুষ্টি প্রকাশ করেছেন রাষ্ট্রপক্ষের আইনজীবী। রায়ে সন্তুষ্ট বলে জানিয়েছেন আসামিপক্ষের আইনজীবীও। আজ রোববার ঢাকা মহানগর শিশু সহিংসতা দমন ট্রাইব্যুনালের বিচারক মাসরুর সালেহীন এ রায় ঘোষণা করেন। মৃত্যুদণ্ডের পাশাপাশি সোহেল রানাকে পাঁচ লাখ টাকা এবং স্বপ্নাকে দুই লাখ টাকা জরিমানা করেছেন আদালত। আসামিপক্ষে রাষ্ট্রনিযুক্ত আইনজীবী মুসা কালিমুল্
A Dhaka court has sentenced a couple, Sohail Rana and Swapna Akter, to death for the rape and brutal murder of an eight-year-old child in Pallabi, Dhaka. The court also imposed a fine of five lakh taka on Sohail Rana and two lakh taka on Swapna Akter.
