Δυο ισχυροί σεισμοί με πολύ μικρή χρονική διαφορά μεταξύ τους ταρακούνησαν την Εύβοια ενώ έγιναν αισθητοί και στην Αττική . Σεισμική δόνηση 5,2 βαθμών της κλίμακας Ρίχτερ σημειώθηκε στις 13:02 το μεσημέρι με εστιακό βάθος 13, 1 χλμ. με επίκεντρο 5 χλμ. νοτιοδυτικά του Προκοπίου Ευβοία ς. Two earthquakes, measuring 4.8 and 5.2 on the Richter scale, struck the island of Evia on Tuesday afternoon, with the tremors also felt in Attica. The initial quake occurred at 12:58 PM, followed by the stronger one just four minutes later. Both earthquakes had epicenters near Prokopi in Evia and relatively shallow focal depths. Seismologists indicated that while the area is seismically active with complex fault systems, the magnitudes are not considered unusual for Greece. Minor landslides and some building damage have been reported in the Mandoudi area of Evia.
