In the past 24 hours, seven more children have died from measles symptoms across the country. Four of these tragic deaths occurred in Dhaka, with one each reported in Chittagong, Mymensingh, and Khulna. During the same period, 1,287 individuals were infected with measles or showed symptoms. Of these, 1,221 presented with measles-like symptoms, while 66 were confirmed measles cases. Since March 15th, a total of 529 children have reportedly died from measles symptoms nationwide, with 91 confirmed measles deaths, bringing the total to 620 deaths related to measles and its symptoms.

The rising number of child deaths from measles highlights a critical public health concern and underscores the need for increased vaccination efforts and accessible healthcare.
