Sagarbandhu Sangha in Syedpur celebrated Rabindra-Nazrul Jayanti to honor the memories of Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam. The event, held on June 5th at the Rahmatullah Government Primary School auditorium, featured a cultural program. Members of the Sangha gathered in colorful attire, and the program began with floral tributes to portraits of the two poets. The discussion session included speeches by journalists and Sangha advisors, who highlighted the enduring impact of the poets' literature, philosophy, and humanitarian ideals on Bengali culture and society. The cultural performances included renditions of Rabindra Sangeet and Nazrul Geeti, poetry recitations, and dance, all of which deeply moved the audience. The president emphasized the Sangha's commitment to cultural and literary practice and noted that such events introduce the younger generation to Bangladesh's rich heritage, fostering patriotism and humanism.
