কুমিল্লায় মহাসড়কে ছাত্রলীগের মিছিলে পুলিশের ধাওয়া, আটক ৪৫ জন
কুমিল্লা সদর দক্ষিণ উপজেলায় ঢাকা-চট্টগ্রাম মহাসড়কে ঝটিকা মিছিল করেছেন নিষিদ্ধ সংগঠন ছাত্রলীগের নেতা-কর্মীরা। মিছিল চলাকালে তাঁদের ধাওয়া করে পুলিশ। ঘটনাস্থল থেকে অন্তত ৪৫ আটক করা হয়েছে। আজ রোববার বেলা দেড়টার দিকে মহাসড়কের চট্টগ্রামমুখী লেনে মাটিয়ারা এলাকায় এ ঘটনা ঘটে। কুমিল্লা সদর দক্ষিণ মডেল থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) রকিবুল ইসলাম প্রথম আলোকে বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন। তবে তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে আটক ব্যক্তিদের নাম-পরিচয় জানাতে পারেনি পুলিশ। পুলিশ ও স্থানীয় লোকজনের সঙ্গে কথা বলে জানা
Police dispersed a surprise rally organized by members of the banned student organization, Bangladesh Chhatra League, on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Cumilla's Sadar South Upazila. At least 45 activists were apprehended by law enforcement during the incident, which occurred around 1:30 PM on Sunday in the Matiyara area on the Chattogram-bound lane of the highway.
