Federal Highway Police (PRF) officers apprehended a man in Picos, Piauí, after discovering three rifles and six magazines concealed within a hidden compartment in his vehicle. The weapons, identified as 5.56 caliber and having their serial numbers removed, were found during a routine inspection on BR-316. The driver, identified as E. M. de S., told authorities he was transporting the firearms from Serra Negra, Maranhão, to Recife, Pernambuco, for a payment of R$ 5,000.
