Ευγενία βρισκόταν στο κρεβάτι της και κοιμόταν την στιγμή των σεισμικών δονήσεων . A powerful earthquake struck northern Evia on Sunday, causing significant damage to homes in the village of Dafnoussa. The residence of 88-year-old Eugenia was severely impacted, with large cracks appearing in the walls and stones falling from the ceiling. Mrs. Eugenia, who was asleep during the tremor, managed to escape her damaged home on her own and is seeking assistance for repairs. In Dafnoussa, 15 houses sustained damage, and another 10 were affected in Prokopi. Authorities are currently assessing the extent of the destruction.
The earthquake highlights the vulnerability of residential structures in the region to seismic activity and the immediate need for support for affected residents.
