Tamim Iqbal has been elected as the new president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for the next four years. The election process, particularly the nomination of councilors, has faced criticism for alleged political influence and the involvement of relatives of ministers and MPs. Tamim himself received the highest votes in Category-2, securing 73 votes from Dhaka club councilors.
