The highway was shut down Saturday morning due to a fuel tanker truck overturning. Emergency crews worked to transfer the fuel and ensure the site was safe before allowing vehicles to pass again. The accident occurred at kilometer 234, between Ipatinga and Belo Oriente, and involved approximately 30,000 liters of fuel. The driver of the truck was rescued and taken to a local medical facility, with their current condition unknown.
