A 53-year-old penal officer is in critical condition after his motorcycle was struck by a car in Teresina, Piauí. The collision occurred when the car allegedly veered into the oncoming lane. The driver of the car was taken into custody, exhibiting signs of intoxication according to the Military Police.
The officer sustained a severe head injury and is hospitalized in serious condition. His 20-year-old daughter, who was a passenger on the motorcycle, also sustained injuries but was released after treatment for abrasions. The incident is currently under investigation by the Civil Police.
