Η «σκουάντρα ατζούρα» είχε τον έλεγχο στο ξεκίνημα του αγώνα και κατάφερε να βρει πρώτη δίχτυα με τον Πίο Εσπόσιτο στο 18′. Italy defeated Greece 1-0 in a friendly match held at the Pankritio Stadium. The "Azzurri" secured the win with a goal from Pio Esposito in the 18th minute. Esposito's goal came after a high press by the Italian team, winning the ball and leading to a cross from Ehhator. The ball deflected off Hatziadiakos before finding the net.
