The company "Remondis Madison", at the center of an investigation into alleged tender rigging involving former Customs Administration director Stefan Bogoev, has secured another significant contract with the Customs Administration this year. The latest deal, valued at approximately 420,000 euros, is for the internal hygiene maintenance of the administration's facilities and was signed by Bogoev's successor, Boban Nikoloski. This follows a smaller contract from January 2025 for hygiene services at a border crossing, worth around 8,000 euros. Bogoev is currently in detention as part of an investigation into a separate tender manipulation case.
This development raises questions about the continuity of public procurement practices and potential conflicts of interest, even after leadership changes within state institutions.
