Pembubaran DUN N Sembilan mungkin tak sah?
KUALA LUMPUR: Pembubaran Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Negeri Sembilan berkuat kuasa Jumaat lalu, berkemungkinan tidak sah kerana tidak mendapat persetujuan daripada pemerintah bersama, iaitu Undang Yang Empat dan Tunku Besar Tampin. Selain itu, isu penurunan takhta Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir sebagai Yang di-Pertuan Besar oleh Undang Luak turut berbangkit, selepas baginda memperkenankan pembubaran DUN berkenaan. The dissolution of the Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly, effective last Friday, may be invalid. This is because it reportedly lacked the consent of the joint rulers, the Undang Yang Empat and the Tunku Besar Tampin. Constitutional expert Prof Madya Datuk Dr Wan Ahmad Fauzi Wan Husain stated that the dissolution and appointment of the Menteri Besar fall under the authority of the Ruler of Negeri Sembilan, which includes the Yang di-Pertuan Besar and the Pembesar Memerintah, referring to the Undang Yang Empat and Tunku Besar Tampin. The expert also raised concerns about the abdication of Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir as Yang di-Pertuan Besar by the Undang Luak, following his approval of the assembly's dissolution.
The potential invalidity of the dissolution could lead to constitutional and legal complications regarding the upcoming state election and the legitimacy of the state government.
