Rio das Ostras has enhanced its public safety with the launch of the Ronda Ostensiva Municipal (ROMU). This new unit, managed by the Municipal Civil Guard, aims to boost preventive policing and increase the visible presence of security forces. Comprised of 24 trained agents, ROMU will focus on proactive and dynamic patrolling, working in conjunction with the Special Operations Group (GOE). Their deployment will be strategic, targeting areas prone to theft and focusing on deterring minor offenses. The collaboration between ROMU and GOE is expected to improve the Civil Guard's operational capacity and responsiveness.
The initiative aims to strengthen public safety and provide greater peace of mind for residents and visitors by increasing police presence and improving response times to criminal activity.
