KUALA LUMPUR: Institusi asing meneruskan aliran jualan bersih di Bursa Malaysia kepada minggu keempat berturut-turut, dengan mencatatkan aliran keluar bersih sebanyak RM1.05 bilion minggu lalu. MBSB Investment Bank Bhd dalam laporan aliran dana mingguan bagi minggu berakhir 5 Jun 2026 berkata, institusi asing merupakan penjual bersih pada ketiga-tiga hari dagangan pada minggu yang singkat berikutan cuti umum Hari Keputeraan Yang di-Pertuan Agong dan cuti gantian Hari Wesak. "
Foreign investors continued their net selling streak on Bursa Malaysia for the fourth consecutive week, with outflows totaling RM1.05 billion last week. This trend persisted across the trading days, with Wednesday seeing the largest outflow of RM454.3 million. Despite the overall net selling, the energy, transportation and logistics, and technology sectors experienced net inflows from foreign institutions. Conversely, financial services, utilities, and consumer products and services sectors saw the most significant net outflows. Local institutions, however, maintained their net buying trend for the eighth week, adding RM773.6 million, while retail investors also continued their net buying for the fourth week with RM274 million in inflows. Across eight Asian markets, foreign investors recorded a net selling of US$19.25 billion, with Thailand being the only market to see net inflows.
Sustained foreign outflows can indicate a lack of confidence in the local market, potentially impacting its valuation and stability.
