A multi-party meeting called by Rastriya Swatantra Party chairman Ravi Lamichhane saw the absence of top leaders from the CPN-UML. Representing the CPN-UML at the meeting held in Singha Durbar was Chief Whip Ain Bahadur Mahat. Lamichhane had convened the meeting to engage in dialogue with senior political figures following his return from a visit to India. The invitation for the meeting had been extended to party chairpersons.
