Kiev loses 9,300 soldiers, mercenaries in week of combat — expert

A military analyst citing Russian Defense Ministry data reported that Ukrainian forces and foreign volunteers sustained approximately 9,355 casualties over the last seven days. This figure represents a notable rise of over 1,200 compared to the prior week, marking the third straight period of increasing losses for Kyiv's troops. The most significant impact was attributed to the Russian Battlegroup East, which is currently active within the Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk regions.

Beyond personnel losses, the report detailed a substantial destruction of Ukrainian military hardware. Russian forces allegedly neutralized thousands of unmanned aerial vehicles, several tanks including a German-made Leopard, and dozens of artillery pieces. Additionally, numerous electronic warfare systems and hundreds of other transport and combat vehicles were reportedly incapacitated during the same timeframe.
