Local trainer has runners by the dozen at Scone
Scott Singleton will bring a hefty 12 runners to Tuesday’s eight-race meeting at Scone.
Local trainer Scott Singleton will have a strong hand at Tuesday’s Scone meeting with 11 runners set to line up on the eight-race card.
The first member of the Singleton team to go around will be debut runner Oakfield Missouri in the Upper Hunter Country Boosted Maiden Plate (1000m) with Aaron Bullock to ride. Oakfield Missouri has had four trials in preparation for his first start and won the last of them at Tamworth.
Apprentice Olivia Dalton links with Singleton when partnering the talented Sobek in the Newgate Class 1 Handicap (900m). Sobek is unbeaten in a number of trials and was a winner on debut at Taree in January. He resumes on the back of a win in a Tamworth trial.
Singleton has four runners in the Darley Class 1 & Maiden Plate (1600m) with Calzino (Christian Reith), Heapy’s Legacy (Jay Ford), Lyon (Mikayla Weir) and Tulou (Leeshelle Small) in action.
The trainer will also have a runner in The Mayor’s Gallop Maiden Handicap (1300m), King Of Many (Weir).
King Of Many makes his debut after two barrier trials and ran third in the most recent at Tamworth.
Singleton will also have two runners in the Pryde’s Easifeed Class 1 Handicap (1100m) with Copperline (Weir) and Kakoda (Dalton).
Copperline finished third on debut at Wyong in July before having a spell, and then two trials before resuming with an all-the-way win at Scone last month. Copperline accounted for Flirtation at Scone and that galloper has since gone on to win at Muswellbrook.
Kakoda won a maiden at Walcha on debut and resumed with a seventh at Scone.
Singleton rounds out the day when Ocean Tsunami (Small) contests the Muswellbrook Ford Benchmark 58 Handicap (1700m) and Magurtz (Weir) lines up in the Horse Capital Country Boosted Benchmark 58 Handicap (1300m) with both looming as leading contenders on the back of solid form.
