ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang and General Secretary Kiran Rai had approached the council seeking authorization to attend the 2026 FIFA World Cup events. Despite their request to overturn the existing travel ban, the sports governing body maintained its restrictive stance. The officials were hoping to secure approval to represent the organization on the international stage. However, the council refused to grant the necessary clearance under the current circumstances. This decision effectively halts the planned overseas trip for the association's primary representatives.
