Members of the Nawair-Ud-Deen Grammar School, Abeokuta Old Students Association 7883 Set have organised a grand reception in honour of Mr. Olusegun Adesayo following his appointment as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency. The event, held on Sunday in Abeokuta, brought together alumni, friends, associates, and well-wishers to celebrate what the association described as the “well-deserved elevation” of one of its distinguished members. According to a statement made available on Monday by the National President of NUDGOSA, Alhaji Fasiu Bakene, the gathering was both a celebration of achievement and a recognition of Adesayo’s longstanding contributions to the association. Bakene thanked God for Adesayo’s appointment and praised his commitment to the growth of the alumni body. “We give glory to God for the elevation of Engineer Adesayo. He has remained a dependable leader whose contributions to NUDGOSA, especially in his roles as National Secretary and Chairman of the 7883 Set, have been invaluable,” Bakene said. He further described the NEMSA boss as a committed alumnus who has consistently supported the association’s initiatives. “Engineer Adesayo has consistently supported numerous projects and initiatives of both the national body and his set. His leadership, generosity, and commitment are worthy of emulation,” he added. As part of the celebration, members of the 7883 Set presented a portrait and other gifts to Adesayo in recognition of his achievements and service. Adesayo, who attended Nawair-Ud-Deen Grammar School, Obantoko, Abeokuta, between 1978 and 1983, graduated as the best student of his set—a distinction the association said foreshadowed his later professional success.
