All educational institutions in Kozhikode district will remain closed on Tuesday (June 9) following the declaration of a red alert amid warnings of severe weather.

The holiday will be applicable to schools, anganwadis, madrasas, tuition centres and professional colleges. However, university examinations and Public Service Commission tests will be held as planned, the authorities said.
