A burglary was reported at the residence of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party leader Suresh Goud in Sanath Nagar, Hyderabad, with thieves allegedly making away with cash and gold jewellery worth around ₹1.5 crore. However, the family allegedly withdrew the complaint later.
Police said that the theft occurred on Saturday (June 6, 2026) at Mr. Goud’s residence in Z Colony when he and his family members were away.
According to preliminary information, unidentified persons allegedly broke into an iron safe inside the house and escaped with the valuables. The burglary came to light on the morning of Sunday (June 7, 2026) when family members returned home and found the house ransacked. They subsequently alerted the police.
Sanath Nagar Police reached the place and took a statement, however, it was recanted by the family later on.
