PPC launches election preparedness training for political parties as December looms

The Political Parties Council has initiated a five-day training program in Juba to help registered political organizations prepare for the upcoming national elections. This workshop focuses on improving governance, digital proficiency, and conflict resolution skills among party representatives. A central component of the training involves the implementation of a new digital registration system designed to increase transparency and prevent fraudulent memberships. Council Chairperson James Akol Zakayo stressed that this technology is essential for ensuring fair competition and strict adherence to the Political Parties Act. Furthermore, UNMISS representatives have called on all participants to prioritize national stability and democratic integrity throughout the electoral period. The initiative serves as a critical step in modernizing the country's political infrastructure ahead of the December vote.
