One Economy donates maternal, infant care supplies to Pohamba

One Economy Foundation on Sunday donated essential maternal and infant care items to former first lady Penehupifo Pohamba. The items valued at $30 000 were donated during a visit to the Pohamba traditional homestead at Okanghudi village in the Ohangwena region. Speaking during the handover, Rachel Iyambo of the #BeFree Cares Clinic described the donation as a token of appreciation for Pohamba’s longstanding commitment to community development. “This donation is a token of appreciation and gratitude. It is intended to support madame Pohamba as she continues to create a lasting positive impact within Namibian communities,” she said. Iyambo said the handover served as recognition of Pohamba’s years of dedication to advancing the welfare of women and children across the country. During the visit, the One Economy Foundation shared the outcomes of its recent healthcare outreach programme in the Ohangwena region. The initiative, which was conducted in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Social Services and Ob-Gyn Practice, provided sexual and reproductive health services to more than 350 people.
